Autism & ADHD
I am a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, I have experience working with clients who have autism and ADHD at various stages in life and diagnosis. I have supported many people explore these differences with the goals of understanding impairment, increasing everyday comfort, learning to unmask, and develop relationships that feel more authentic. This can concretely look like building social skills, executive functioning skills, navigating sensory needs, and getting appropriate accommodations in work/school settings.
At this time I am not qualified to do assessments for ADHD, Autism, or any other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity refers to neurodevelopmental differences in the way that a brain processes information, often in the areas of:
Reward systems and planning
Emotion regulation and dysregulation
Socialization and expression
Sensory information
Neurodiversity is a term that has gained significant coverage recently and it can be difficulty to identify the facts from the misinformation. Neurodiversity has universal and intricate impacts on the people throughout their lifespans. While the underlying conditions are not something to be cured, nor can they be, they can involve impairment or disability in our current society.
